Warner Bros. Pushes 'The Batman Part II' Back for the Second Time

The studio has reshuffled at least three release dates in a single move, leaving Matt Reeves's sequel without a confirmed 2027 slot.

Warner Bros. has delayed The Batman Part II for the second time, according to a Hollywood Reporter report filed Wednesday, shifting the Matt Reeves sequel off its calendar slot without immediately installing a replacement date.

The move came packaged with repositioned windows for two other Warner Bros. titles: Panic Carefully and Revenge of La Llorona, suggesting a broader reshuffling rather than a single-film production problem.

The Batman, the 2022 Robert Pattinson–led original, grossed approximately $770 million worldwide against a reported $200 million production budget. The sequel entered development with considerable commercial goodwill behind it.

Warner Bros. has not released a public statement explaining the delay, and no revised release date has been confirmed as of Wednesday afternoon.

The studio did find room, however, to move two other titles around the same calendar. The refrigerator, as it were, stayed put — just everything around it got rearranged.
