Gary Glitter, born Paul Francis Gadd, 79, has been charged with additional historic sexual offenses by the Metropolitan Police, including alleged intercourse with a girl under 13, according to a November 2023 report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Glitter is already serving a 16-year sentence imposed at Southwark Crown Court in February 2015, following convictions on three counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted rape involving underage girls dating to the 1970s and 1980s.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the new charges were the result of a further investigation conducted while Glitter was in custody. No additional details about complainants were released in the charging notice.
Glitter was previously deported from Vietnam in 2008 after serving nearly three years there on child sex charges, and was on the sex offenders register in the United Kingdom prior to the 2015 conviction.
The new charges were filed without any statement from Glitter or his representatives appearing in the public record at the time of filing.
