Six film delegations have reportedly been called back to the Palais des Festivals ahead of Saturday's closing ceremony at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, according to awards-circuit sources and a Deadline critics roundup published this week.

The titles circulating: Minotaur, Fjord, The Dreamed Adventure, Fatherland, La Bola Negra, and La Gradiva.

The callback is not an official festival communication. It is, however, an institution. Cannes does not fly a cast back to the Côte d'Azur to watch someone else win.

Deadline's critics panel weighed in with individual Palme d'Or predictions ahead of the ceremony, though the panel did not reach consensus on a single frontrunner among the six names in circulation.

The jury, presided over by this year's appointed chair, has not commented. The festival has not confirmed the callback practice exists.

Six invitations went out. The ceremony seats them all in the same room.
