The Leopards Eating People's Faces Party regrets to confirm that a face has been eaten, and that the face in question is attached to the head of the institution that arranged the seating.
For a period of months, advisers within and aligned with the Trump White House advocated loudly for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, characterizing the effort as an overdue act of transparency and a rebuke of entrenched power. The Party took no position on the merits. The Party noted only that the leopards had been engaged and that the leopards do not read the invitation before attending.
According to reporting by RealClearPolitics, senior White House officials subsequently gathered in a series of Situation Room meetings described internally as a “freakout,” as the released materials generated scandal directed not at distant elites but at the administration itself and, specifically, at the president whose aides had championed the disclosure.
The Party wishes to acknowledge the genuine difficulty of this moment. Situation Rooms are not comfortable. Freakouts are unpleasant. The Party extends its customary institutional sympathy to all affected faces.
We would note, as we always must, that our platform was available for review prior to the feeding. The commitment to the eating of faces is not a new development and does not contain a carve-out for faces belonging to those who arranged the meal. The leopards performed exactly as described in all publicly available Party materials.
The Party remains on-message and has no plans to revise its core platform. We thank the administration for its continued and, it must be said, enthusiastic support of our work.
